5P420-20-0060/A Red Rock Canyon Loop & Bridges Reconstruction – Waterton Lakes National Park
Parks Canada Agency requires a contractor to complete the reconstruction of the upper bridge and trails around Red Rock Canyon. The work primarily consists of building a new bridge, repairing existing bridges, trail improvements and picnic area improvements.
See specifications and drawings for further details on the requirement of this project.
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $5,000,000, Taxes extra.
Period of Contract
Contractor shall perform and complete the Work no later than December 31, 2021.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
There will be an optional site visit on July 7, 2020 at 10 am MDT. Interested bidders are to meet at the entrance gate/parking lot of Red Rock Parkway, Waterton Park AB, T0K 2M0 located 5km south of highway 6.
Please be advised that there will be a limit of two (2) representatives per bidder attending the site visit. Bidders are requested to RSVP to the contracting authority by July 6, 2020 at 12:00 PM MDT. Should there be sufficient interest in site visit attendance, Parks Canada may assign time slots to bidders in an effort to maintain social distancing protocols.
In accordance with provincial health regulations, interested bidders must be symptom free and observe social distancing from others on site. Face masks and gloves are recommended. Review with the consultant and a question and answer session will be held outside.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the optional site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature are to be submitted to the Contracting Authority.
Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.
BIDS RECEIVED BY FAX AND EMAIL WILL BE ACCEPTED AS OFFICIAL.
BIDS RECEIVED IN-PERSON OR BY COURIER MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
